Fiji Scuba Dive Courses

How to take a subjects like accident prevention and management and turn them into serious fun? Call it the PADI Rescue Diver course! Many recreational scuba divers describe the programme as the most challenging, yet most rewarding course they've taken.

PADI Rescue Diver with Dive The World Fiji

Students learn to prevent and manage in-water problems, becoming more confident in their scuba skills, knowing that they can help others when required. The Rescue programme develops your knowledge and skills so you can effectively rescue and/or assist other divers, manage accident situations and giving first aid, using a variety of techniques. This Fiji dive course is an important step in expanding your knowledge and experience as a diver. It helps shift your primary focus of attention from yourself, to starting to think about others that may need your help more.

Through knowledge development and diver rescue scenario role playing exercises, you learn what to look for and how to respond, putting into practice ywhat you've learned. The PADI Rescue Diver course covers:

  • Self-rescue
  • Panicked diver responses, recognising and managing stress
  • Underwater problems - identification and effective response
  • Missing diver procedures
  • Surfacing unconscious and unresponsive divers
  • In-water artificial respiration
  • Swimming and non-swimming assists
  • Egress (exits)
  • Dive accident scenarios and first aid
  • First aid procedures for pressure related accidents
  • Emergency management and scuba equipment considerations

After successfully completing this programme in Fiji, you'll receive the internationally recognised PADI Rescue Diver certification card. The license is also a prerequisite for all PADI professional membership programmes.
