There are recompression chambers in the Fiji capital of Suva on Viti Levu. In a diving emergency, you will be transferred 42 km to Taveuni Airport where a transfer chamber is located. From there, you will be flown to Suva. The whole journey takes about 2 hours. We recommend you have your own dive insurance .
The dive boat carries 600 litres of emergency oxygen and there is a further 1,200 litres of oxygen back at the dive centre; enough to get you to Taveuni Airport. One divemaster is provided for every 5 divers.
For non-diving related problems there is a small medical facility 5 minutes away. There is also a hospital and police station 35 minutes (23 km) from the resort.
