The nearest re-compression chamber is in Suva on the island of Viti Levu - approximately 100 km north of Kadavu. Dive emergencies will be handled by a Medivac 30 minute helicopter ride. You should have your own diving insurance that covers emergency evacuation.
The dive boat carries emergency oxygen and Matava also has oxygen and first aid. One divemaster is provided for every eight divers.
For non-diving accidents there is a medical facility in Vunisea at Kadavu Airport. It takes one hour to get there by boat.
